We would like to shed some light on the current situation regarding deliveries.
Tikiboo is fully up to date on shipping orders for December, the last postage date for Christmas as advised by the postal carriers is 16th December, we cannot 100% guarantee any parcels will be delivered by Christmas at this unprecedented time. Royal Mail and DPD and all other couriers are all under extreme pressure and all next day delivery options have been removed from their services as they simply cannot guarantee it.
To shed some light, the postal services are working hard to deliver the most comprehensive and high quality service they can to all our customers. The combination of greatly increased uptake of online Christmas shopping, in no small part driven by the recent lockdown, and the ongoing COVID restrictions mean that all delivery companies are experiencing exceptionally high volumes this year.
Please see here for Royal Mail updates:
If your parcel has been dispatched then please rest assured that it is in the postal system and they are extremely busy so delays are expected of up to 3 weeks in some areas.
We are a small business, we are not a large corporation with it’s own fleet of delivery trucks or drones to deliver your packages, we appreciate Amazon are getting parcels out quickly but for most businesses we are having to use the mainstream postal services.
We appreciate that everyone is awaiting their packages and we have had a number of customers demanding that we send another package to them, however all this will do is put another parcel in an already clogged up system and so we have been asked to allow sufficient time before parcels arrive with customers. Many packages are taking 3 weeks.
Tikiboo has a zero tolerance policy to rudeness from customers, our team are working hard to get your packages shipped on time and answer your enquiries, we have had a number of customers being rude and intolerant of the current situation which is clearly out of the control of Tikiboo, making demands and threats of bad reviews is simply not ok and anyone doing so will not be answered with anything other than links to the websites that are displaying the statements regarding the situation and your proof of dispatch.
We ask everyone to be mindful of the situation, this year has been very challenging and there are people under extreme pressure to bring you your packages. Please can we spare a thought for the postal workers and people working in Customer Services at this time, we are all in the same boat and have all suffered with the restrictions and challenges that 2020 has brought. We ask that people are kind to each other, there are still 9 days of post before Christmas and we are hoping that the backlog will be cleared once retailers highlight the 16th as a cut off point.
We thank you for your patience and cannot stress enough that in these troubled times we must all be kind to each other.
Please respect the workers that are working hard to bring you your items.
