Manchester City FC/England Captain for Women's Football
Women's football has reached new highs under Houghton's captaincy, with England reaching third place in the 2015 World Cup. This sporting hero first received public attention when she scored three goals for Great Britain across four games in the 2012 London Olympics. Today, she has 94 caps and has played for Manchester United over a hundred times, playing too for MCWFC – the integrated male and female club. She is also passionate about raising awareness of football in young girls and inspiring kids to get into sport.

Olympic Champion for Heptathlon
Ennis-Hill is a highly visible sports personality and the UK record holder for the heptathlon. She won her event in the London 2012 Olympics, is a world record holder and today has retired to be a full-time mum to her children. More than simply a force to be reckoned with on the field, Ennis-Hill is a charity supporter and role model for youngsters, an ambassador for various sporting and charity organisations, and has been recognised for her achievements with a number of accolades, including a DBE.

Olympic Champion for Boxing
Adams is a professional boxer and holds the honour of being the first woman to achieve an Olympic boxing title. She successfully defended her 2012 win in the 2016 Olympics and went professional last year. She has also been awarded an OBE and MBE and is an active member of the LGBT community, being named in the top spot of DIVA's list of powerful lesbian and bisexual women.

Professional Downhill Mountain Biking Champion
Atherton is a professional cyclist who has won the UCI World Championships on multiple occasions for downhill mountain biking. She was the first British cyclist to win the Elite UCI Downhill World Championship in 2008 and won every round during a World Cup season in 2016, which was an unprecedented feat. Having cycled since the age of eight, she has been recognised with various awards, including the prestigious Laureus World Sports Award for the Action Sportsperson of the Year. She is also active on social media and inspires many other cyclists of both genders to try downhill biking.

Olympic Swimming Champion
Simmonds is a true household name and managed to achieve more in her teenage years of the sport than many athletes do during a full career, despite being born with dwarfism. At the age of 13, she won a series of gold medals at the Paralympics in 2008 and then took home eight world records. She won a further gold medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016 and set a new world record.
