2022 sees the return of Tikiboo swim and we just wanted to give you a rundown on what has changed.
What has changed?
The sizing has been adjusted and more in line with our activewear range, please be aware that not all shapes will suit all body types and that we have tried to make something for everyone. If you sized up before on the last swim collection please order your standard sizing, for example a small is generally a 10 but if you are a size 10 with larger breasts or bottom you may want to size up so that the cups fit better, or they fit better across the bottom. Knowing your body shape and knowing what size will work with your sizing.
We have selected a lighter fabric as we felt the last swim range was too heavy when wet, the new fabric is a light, quick drying, chlorine resistant and made from 90% polyester 10% spandex. All items are lined with black fabric to prevent the prints going seethrough
Our classic shapes from our previous collection have returned with the addition of a new smaller string style bikini for those that dare to bare! There are 2 swimsuit styles, 3 bikini bottoms and 3 bikini tops. They are designed to be mix and match so you can create your own unique style. The Triangle bikinis will be online shortly after the first launch but will not be in the first drop.
The Crossover swimsuit and Triangle Tikini both contain padding, the others do not. Although there is padding this is removeable should you not require it.
The collection features 10 prints consisting of the following shapes:
Swimsuits: 2 Styles standard and crossover
The standard swimsuit is fully lined, has a scoop back and is suitable for most body shapes, there is a light inbuilt support but no padding. These are a relatively low cut on the bum and hips but can be pulled up to create a more revealing shape, or worn lower to cover your bottom.
This has a lower front with inbuilt padding and cup support with a crossover tie back. This one is a little more daring and may be better suited to smaller breasts. These are a relatively low cut on the bum and hips but can be pulled up to create a more revealing shape, or worn lower to cover your bottom. The strings can be used to create more of a silhouette on your body as they pull you in.
Bikinis- 3 Tops, 3 bottoms mix n match style
Cropped Tikini Top
This is a sportier cut with a scoop back and a low scoop front, this does not contain any padding.
Triangle Tikini Top
The unique sexy style features a plunging neckline, light removeable padding and thick supportive band for extra comfort. Made with our chlorine resistant fabric for lasting colour, it's double-lined with black lining for extra protection against the elements and to prevent being see through. They are super flattering on most bust sizes but larger busted ladies may require more support. please note these will be on the 2nd drop which will follow shortly.
They are slightly different to previous models as they now have a fully printed band instead of the logo elastic and we have removed the hole at the side for a smoother line.
Tie Up Tikini Top
A contemporary bikini top featuring tie strings for those that dare to bare! Depending on how much coverage you like this are best for women up to around a D cup.
A classic mid-rise bikini bottom suitable for most shapes with moderate coverage, fully lined.
High Waist Tikini Bottoms
Higher rise with elasticated logo waistband for those that like more coverage. These are suitable for most shapes.
Tie-Side Tikini Bottoms
The smallest of our bottoms, low cut, adjustable tie sides, can be worn low on the hips or pulled up higher. These are our most daring ones for those that like less coverage and more tan on the beach!
Although this collection is more than adequate for everyday swimming, this is more of a holiday, sunbathing, dip in the pool style swim fashion collection and may not necessarily be suitable for long swim training sessions due to the nature of the cuts. If you require a more supportive style this may not be the right collection for you.
When washing we advise to tie the strings on the bikinis and crossover swimsuits to avoid them getting tangled in the wash and coming out. It may be best for you to put inside a laundry bag inside the machine as the strings may be pulled if they get wrapped around bigger items of clothing. If the strings do come out they can easily be rethreaded using a safety pin.
